The First InNoPlastic Video is Now Live!

We are delighted to share with you the first InNoPlastic video of the project!

This info-animation showcases in a simplified and captivating fashion all the innovative solutions in progress to clean natural and industrial sites, securing a second life for marine plastic debris in line with the European Strategy for Plastics in a Circular Economy.

It meets the need to bring our work closer to the general public, making it appealing and understandable to everyone interested in the global issue of marine plastic pollution and its remediation measures.

InNoPlastic is funded under the framework programme H2020 “Pilot action for the removal of marine plastics and litter”, Topic ID: CE-FNR-09-2020 under the Grant Agreement 101000612

Beyond the InNoPlastic Video: who are we?

In-No-Plastic (Innovative approaches towards prevention, removal and reuse of marine plastic litter) is a three year EU funded project with the goal to develop and demonstrate nano-, micro-, and macro-plastic clean-up technologies in the aquatic ecosystems. The project is funded within the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme, within the pilot action for the removal of marine plastics and litter. This topic is in support of the European Strategy for Plastics in a Circular Economy.

The approach taken is a combination of social and technical strategies targeting the industrial hot spots through cooling water systems (CWS), harbours, lagoons, shores and shallow seawater. The technical approach consists of comparing the existing plastic removal methodologies with multiple developing technologies at varying testing sites in Europe and in the Caribbean.
